Privacy Policy

1. Publisher and scope

Zavel — Study Tracker is developed and published by SIKALIO TECNOLOGIAS E SERVICOS LTDA, a Brazilian legal entity registered under CNPJ 56.345.056/0001-32 (“Sikalio,” “we,” or “us”). Where applicable, Sikalio is responsible for the processing described in this policy.

This policy covers the Zavel Android application and this Zavel landing site. The app and site are described separately where their behavior differs. This policy does not control third-party services you independently use to find, download, install, or discuss Zavel, such as an app distribution platform or your device’s operating system. Cloudflare’s role in delivering this site for Sikalio is described below.

2. Information stored by the app

Zavel lets you create information such as:

• an optional display name;
• subject names, topics, colors, and daily or weekly goals;
• session dates, durations, study type, topic, notes, and exercise or correct-answer counts; and
• theme and language settings.

This information is stored in the app’s private storage on your device. It is used there to operate features such as the timer, dashboard, local progress reports, and planning views.

3. What Zavel does not collect

The Zavel app does not create a user account, operate a backend, include advertising, or include app analytics. It does not perform app-managed uploads or cloud synchronization. The production Android application does not request the Android internet permission.

4. Age eligibility and minors

Zavel is intended for people aged 13 or older and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use Zavel. A minor who is old enough to use Zavel must have authorization from a parent or legal guardian where applicable law requires it.

Because the app keeps study records locally on the device and does not create accounts or transmit those records to Sikalio, Sikalio does not receive a user’s age or study information through the app. If you are a parent or legal guardian and believe a minor has sent personal information to Sikalio by email, contact us using the address in Section 9.

5. Storage, backup, and retention

Your records remain on the device for as long as the app’s local data remains there. Android backup is disabled for the application package, so the app does not place these records into Android cloud backup through that mechanism.

The app relies on Android’s private app storage and does not transmit this data off-device. Device-level protections depend on your Android and device security settings.

The in-app Clear study history action removes study sessions but keeps subjects, goals, and settings. Clearing Zavel’s storage in Android settings or normally uninstalling the app removes all locally stored Zavel data. Because Zavel has no hosted account or backend copy, Sikalio cannot retrieve or restore records after they are deleted or lost.

6. Website, email, and third-party services

The static Zavel site code contains no analytics or tracking scripts, advertising, forms, or external scripts, and it does not set cookies. The site is delivered using Cloudflare Workers. When your browser requests a page, Cloudflare may process technical request and network information such as your IP address, requested address and method, timestamp, request headers, browser or device information, routing information, and security signals. This processing is used to deliver, cache, protect, and troubleshoot the site.

Sikalio has configured persisted Workers Logs to be disabled and does not keep a separate application-level visitor log or use request data for advertising or profiling. Cloudflare still provides aggregated operational metrics, such as request and error counts, which may be retained for up to three months, and may process network data under its service configuration and privacy policy. Cloudflare operates global infrastructure, so technical processing may occur outside Brazil subject to Cloudflare’s contractual data-protection commitments and applicable law.

If you email android@sikalio.com.br, Sikalio receives the sender address, any name you provide, the message and attachments, and ordinary email metadata such as the date, time, and routing or security information. Sikalio uses this information to respond to support, privacy, or rights requests; maintain the security and integrity of its communications; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims where necessary. Please do not include study records or sensitive information unless it is needed for your request.

This mailbox uses a Google-hosted email service, so Google may process email content and technical metadata to provide and secure that service. Google may use global infrastructure under its service terms and privacy policy. Sikalio retains correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request and meet applicable legal, security, and recordkeeping requirements, after which it is deleted or access is restricted according to those requirements.

If you obtain a private beta through a third-party distribution service, that provider may process the interaction under its own policies. Your browser, operating system, network provider, or other software may also process data independently of Zavel.

7. Your choices and rights

You control what you enter into Zavel. Within the app, you can edit study records and use Clear study history to remove sessions while retaining subjects, goals, and settings. To remove all locally stored Zavel data, clear the app’s storage through Android settings or normally uninstall the app.

Under the LGPD, for processing controlled by Sikalio and subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to request confirmation of processing; access and correction; anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary, excessive, or unlawfully processed data; portability where regulated and technically applicable; deletion of data processed with consent where applicable; information about sharing; information about the ability to withhold consent and the consequences; withdrawal of consent where consent is used; opposition where permitted; and review of qualifying automated decisions. Zavel currently makes no automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Requests are handled without charge where required by law, and you may also petition the ANPD or applicable consumer-protection bodies.

Sikalio cannot remotely access, identify, correct, export, or delete study records that exist only in your device’s private app storage because no server copy exists. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the app’s behavior, the site, or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Any future feature that materially changes how information is handled should be described here before or when it is released.
