Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

These terms form an agreement between you and SIKALIO TECNOLOGIAS E SERVICOS LTDA, a Brazilian legal entity registered under CNPJ 56.345.056/0001-32 (“Sikalio,” “we,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using Zavel, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. These terms apply to the Zavel Android application and related product materials made available through official channels.

2. What Zavel provides

Zavel is a local, offline tool for recording study sessions, organizing subjects and topics, setting goals, and reviewing personal study progress. The app is intended for personal organization and informational use. It does not provide educational, medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice.

3. Age eligibility and minors

Zavel is intended for people aged 13 or older. You may not use Zavel if you are under 13. If you are a minor under applicable law, you may use Zavel only with authorization from a parent or legal guardian where that authorization is required. A parent or legal guardian who permits a minor to use Zavel should supervise the minor’s use and review these terms and the Privacy Policy with them.

4. Your device and your records

Zavel stores study records and preferences locally in the app’s private storage on your device. There is no Zavel account, hosted backup, or cloud synchronization service. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device, choosing appropriate device-security settings, and checking the accuracy of the information you enter. This does not reduce any duty Sikalio has under applicable law.

Clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app removes its locally stored records. Android backup is disabled for the application package, so you should not expect Zavel records to be restored from an Android cloud backup.

5. Permission to use the app

You may install and use an official Zavel release for your own lawful purposes. You may not use the app to violate applicable law, interfere with its distribution infrastructure, misrepresent your relationship with Sikalio, or attempt to harm other users or systems.

Any rights not expressly granted by these product terms remain with their respective owners. Separate notices or licenses included with the app or its components continue to apply.

6. Releases and third-party services

Current Android builds are an access-restricted private beta. A public Android release has not yet been made available. If you receive access to a beta APK, any third-party distribution services you use are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. Their availability and security are outside Sikalio’s reasonable control, subject always to your mandatory rights.

Only install packages from a source you trust. Android may require you to approve installation from the app used to open the APK.

7. Updates and availability

Zavel may be changed, improved, suspended, or discontinued. Features can differ between releases. There is no promise that every version will remain available, work on every device, or receive maintenance for a particular period.

8. Disclaimers

Zavel may not operate without interruption or be compatible with every device or Android version. You should not rely on Zavel as the only record of information whose loss could cause significant harm. Nothing in this section excludes statutory warranties, quality standards, or remedies that apply under consumer law.

9. Limitation of liability

Sikalio’s liability is governed by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes responsibility for defects or service failures attributable to Sikalio. Sikalio is not responsible to the extent damage is caused exclusively by the consumer or a third party, where applicable law recognizes that exclusion.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated prospectively as Zavel evolves. The effective date above will change when a revision is published, and material changes will be identified prominently on this site or in release notes. Changes do not retroactively remove acquired consumer rights. If a material change requires agreement, it will be presented for affirmative acceptance in a later app release; other revisions apply prospectively after notice and subject to applicable law.

11. Applicable law and disputes

These terms are governed by Brazilian law, without excluding mandatory protections that apply where you live. Where Brazilian consumer law applies, you may bring a claim before the courts of your domicile or another venue permitted by law. Nothing here requires mandatory arbitration or restricts access to consumer-protection authorities or courts.
